What do you think about Christmas?

Oh you know the drill already!

You answer the question, voicing your opinion and I’ll use it in my post.

Easy cheesy.

So today’s question is “What do you think about christmas?” please answer truthfully and even if you don’t celebrate christmas, you can tell me what you think about that obsession with gifts and lights and stuff.

Oh also, I would really appreciate if you could give me some recipes I could use for our family dinner [~ 12 people]. (I won’t put recipes in the blog, but I honestly need help with what to cook. So, yeah… Help?!)

  1. I grew up in a protestant household and we did not celebrate Christmas, but my grandfather did Christmas lights and we had music during the season. I cannot deal with Christmas music now as it never seems to stop. I’m sure you’ll find really good recipes browsing the gluten free tag. May I suggest doing a simple roast chicken with garlic, parmesan and olive oil. Try roasting 1/2 doz potatoes wedged in 4 parts, with skin in the same oven. Toss with butter, drizzle olive oil, salt and black pepper. A green salad (spinach, lettuce, tomato wedges, cucumber) with cheddar or feta cheese and dried figs, raisins or cranberries. Rice might be easier than potatoes but add scallion, red kidney beans and coconut milk. For dessert, vanilla icecream with chocolate sauce. Offer everyone Earl Grey tea after dinner and for drinks, keep it simple with sparkling apple juice for non drinkers and a semi dry white wine for those who do. I can handle that on my own so I think that with a little help, you can be the star of your dinner party.

    1. Ooo that sounds great and simple. Thank you! I’ll add it to my “what to cook” list. I always collect recieps and once I get to the cooking part I usually do a mix of everything that seems suitable xD
