Can you see the picture? That’s our tinny Christmas tree, obviously too small for all the presents (p.s. I’m sory about the bad picture, it’s taken with phone).
I have a love-hate relationship with Christmas. I never truly understood it’s meaning, but on the other hand it was always nice to have the whole family gathered. Also Christmas became special, because we mostly celebrate my b-day on it, even though my birthday is actually a day before. But why not just combine it and get over it, right? Well because of that, my birthday mostly get skipped by everyone and they remember it a day after.
But I’m not complaining, I actually don’t mind that. What I do mind is that there are Christmas decorations set up and Christmas carols on the radio in the beginning on NOVEMBER. Why?! You’re killing the Christmas spirit. It gets boring after a week of watching all that glitter and it’s not even Christmas yet. I actually have to be reminded about Christmas (and my birthday) because I lose track of time and there’s nothing indicating Christmas, except for people blabbering about it, but I don’t pay much attention to them anyway.
So yeah, because today is Christmas, I have to tell you that my whole family gathered to have lunch together and like always, my brother and I cooked all the food. Including the deserts that we made yesterday. (If you’re interested in what we cooked and the recipes, let me know I’ll make a post for it.)
There was also gifts exchange, watching a lame movie and my grandmas complaining about how she messed up her Potica (Nut roll) again.
But let’s get to the point shall we? I’m only writing this post to tell you MERRY CHRISTMAS! I hope you’re all enjoying your day and having fun, even if you’re not celebrating Christmas.
Have fun, enjoy every single moment of your life and don’t let it get ruined by anyone. May your days be blessed, your wishes heard and hopes fulfilled. Have nice holidays everyone! Don’t ever lose hope, because a spark can always be found or created anew. After all, Santa had to bring you something.
Potica sounds nice. I think you’ve had a normal Christmas. There’s always Boxing Day and I hope it’s been great for you.
