About Annie

Hello there!

Welcome to my (not much of a paradise) blog.

You can call me Annie or Debi. Or whatever else floats your goat.

I am fluent in banter and sarcasm, semi-fluid in many dialects of geek and nerd and of course more or less conversational in Basic English, a pro at ranting and a self-proclaimed smartass. However, I’m a bit edgy towards the open debate, because my brain likes to think in all directions instead of focusing directly on the debate topic.

Some of my favorite things to do include hiking, walking my dog, picture taking, drawing, writing (mostly poems), reading, ranting, thinking, learning and obsessing over everything I find interesting. There is also talking to myself, yelling at the TV and re-inventing my happy excited little dance, every time I find something interesting.

I am a student, from a tiny chicken-like country called Slovenia, with a huge appetite for knowledge however I mostly focus at biology, ecology, environmental protection and the human mind. I tend to cause trouble, ask too many questions, give detailed but all over the place explanations, confuse people, doodle on my whiteboard to get or express ideas, make my professors wonder and forget what I wanted to say in the first place.

Please know that you can message me about anything, also suggest topics, maybe ask about my opinion on something, just get connected.

  1. You’re my much way younger twin sister! I’m so glad I found you. God, I hope you don’t think I’m an old lady stalker, because I am…like, I mean, I was…maybe…I don’t know what I am, but I do know I’m so flipping happy I stumbled upon your little piece of the internet.

  2. Hi Debi!I found your blog interesting and I’ve got something to ask you….
I’m gathering (inviting) a bunch of very talented but not so famous bloggers to share articles to TOAC and create something better than the Huffington Post or any other news blog.
I want you to be a part of it. Please visit our site https://yourthoughtmatters.wordpress.com/recruitments/ if this interests you.

  3. I’ve been trawling WordPress for a few months now, coming across some damn fine blogs, but for the most part they’re pretty shit (no offence to all you musing ramblers out there). I think part of the reason blogs like yours are so rare, is that for someone to be able to write and think to this level of dynamic irony, in a foreign language, usually means they’ve got a career in the field already. I’m not sure what your background is or where you’re looking to take this stuff, but you have some great talent and potential. You come across as being very curious and cognisant. In other news, it’s just occurred that this is probably the most intense comment I’ve ever written on an About Me section before. I don’t know what that means, but I hope you have a good day.

    1. Wow, you have no idea how much your comment means to me. Considering that I’m writing a blog for mere 2 months, this is beyond flattering. Especially because you’re complimenting my writing. I alwas thought that my english is really bad therefore not suitable for this kind of freelance self expression project. Also I supose I’ll have to thank few of my professors, who taught me to think with my own head and express myself in any means necessary, no matter what the result might be. 😛
Anyway, thank you for your intense comment. I hope you’ll enjoy my blog in the future. Have a nice day 🙂
